Continuous Agitation
Taking a photograph is as much about waiting for an event as it is hunting for the moment. It is a continuous play between the two - standing and watching balanced with rushing to pursue something that you know in your heart is fleeting and evasive at best.
I take a photograph for one reason or another.
I take a photograph because something catches my eye. I take a photograph because the combination of events in the world immediately near me satisfies certain rules and sensibilities. What are the rules? As best as I can figure, they are at any time steeped in the design and composition of the physical elements I walk by each day.
